Ball mills are the most common mill in the mining industry, which are used for crushing materials and producing iron concentrate. Reduction in the production of iron concentrate and high consumption of ball in one of the pelletizing companies was one of the problems that was characterized in this industrial unit. Observations and sampling in the mill indicate non-uniform wear of ballmill balls (Figure 1). In this project, by studying the chemical composition and production process of these balls, ball consumption and concentrate production were improved (Figure 2). Also, to test the abrasion resistance of the balls, G65 device was made to measure the abrasion resistance by considering the desired chemical composition before supplying the balls (Figure 3)..
